Part museum part B & B. Very cordial staff and interesting historic house. Wonderful breakfast in a relaxing atmosphere. Inviting porches are great for reading and/or relaxing. Of course this can vary but extremely enjoyable guests with which to chat.

We had the most marvelous time at the Mountain Laurel Inn. The accommodations were comfortable, the food was delectable and the inn keepers were so much fun! and let's don't forget about that wonderful saltwater pool. it was such an enjoyable time we will return.

"My husband and I were so excited to find this gem! Beautiful home with 5 rooms on a picturesque piece of property just outside of the busy area of Damascus. Kathleen was the most generous host, she really made us feel right at home. She went out of her way to accommodate our dietary restrictions with a delicious special breakfast and even brought us cough drops for my husband oncoming cold! The room was SO CLEAN and very comfortable. The soaking tub with bath salts was perfect after two days of backpacking. They have really thought of every little thing you could possibly need for the best stay. Next time we will definitely stay longer, and enjoy the saltwater pool and upstairs screened-in porch!

"Wife and I had a wonderful stay with Drew and Kathleen for a week in summer of 2018. We were great friends by the end of our trip. Breakfasts were delicious and filling, and they are more than happy to accommodate any request. Drew and Kathleen went out of their way to make us feel at home . Older home with many unique charms (but thankfully upgraded with A/C). We made full use of the porch and pool. Wouldn't change a thing about the experience. Damascus is a great place for hiking, biking, experiencing Appalachia (Drew/Kathleen have a wealth of recommendations). Highly recommend!"

The Mountain Laurel Inn has it all. Historic location, ambiance, yummy breakfast, charming innkeepers, spacious and well-kept rooms, free wifi, salt water pool (towels provided) and beautiful grounds. Having stayed at other B&B's in Damascus, this will be my first choice on my next visit due to the attention to details. The house has been a family run business for 18 years, and the love and care they put into their labor of love is evident. They really want to share their house and Damascus with my family, so we would have an amazing trip. I especially appreciated Kathleen's willingness to work within my dietary restrictions to create a first rate breakfast.

You won't find a more beautiful place to stay in Damascus. This B&B is over the top! From the gorgeous, beautifully maintained 100+year old house, to the amenities provided, topped off with the most hospitable hosts in the area, our stay here was perfection. Kathleen and her mother Nathalie are such gracious hosts, and fabulous cooks, they think of everything they can to make your stay wonderful. They knew that I was coming down to meet my boyfriend who is thru hiking the AT, and they did everything possible to make his days off the trail truly restful and relaxing. I can't thank them enough for taking care of him, and me! God bless you ladies, and Drew too!

My first experience with a bed and breakfast far exceeded my expectation. As a motorcycle enthusiast, I traveled to Damascus, VA to travel the beautiful, and challenging, roads. Staying at The Mountain Laurel Inn made the experience even better. At the inn, you will be greeted as a new family member, stopping by to visit and relax. After a day of motorcycle riding, I came home to relax on either the front porch rocking chairs, or the upstairs patio. However, the breakfast served, was the most pleasant surprise. The eggs benedicts are phenomenal, as well as, the special waffles topped with fresh fruit! The hosts of the inn are wonderful folks to spend some time with. And, I appreciate their hospitality. I will see you again! Carol
